This week was all about prepping for an upcoming group exhibition. Alongside the exhibition, we had a market night where we could sell other works and items, there was also food and some artist talks to round out the evening.
I wanted to sell some smaller items to sit alongside the painting in the exhibition. I always like having affordable works available so that anyone can have the opportunity to own a special little something.
To create the small paintings, I took some old digital prints of some drawings and went over them with paint to match them to the larger painting I made for the exhibition.
These old prints have been lying around for ages. They're too washed out looking which when it's a print of a charcoal drawing, having a washed out result really makes the overall work less vibrant.
If you're an artist with older prints you can't sell or get rid of, consider repurposing them and giving them new life.
